So much stuff has happened lately that I'm overwhelmed! I was going to go on vacation to Indonesia for a month this summer, but decided to spend my time more wisely (I think I'm the only person to pass up a vacation to work!). So I will be living with one of my best friends in Hollywood over the next few months. I'm so happy that I will be able to finally concentrate on all of my projects! My modeling, bass playing, crafting, youtube channel and online shop! While I will be working at my normal job still, not having classes taking up most of my week will be VERY refreshing.

I just have one more week to live though where I have to finish a screenplay and two final papers and finialize subletters for my current apartment. Bleh.

I always do this. I begin a blog and then I start to blog a lot and then I suddenly stop.

Well here is an update and I plan on blogging more!

The main reason why I have not been blogging as much is because between school, work, friends, family and my boyfriend.

I ended up dying my hair back to dark brown and am planning on going to Indonesia in the summer for my aunts wedding. So I will be taking loads of pictures and blogging while I'm there.

Friday Night!

Yesterday I came back to Orange County to spend the weekend with my best friends! It was an awesome chill night. I really miss them all when I am in LA.

Model Model Model

Since the end of February I've been getting back into modeling again. I took a year off in order to get into UCLA. Now that I am used to the swing of things at school I have found time to model again! :D So far I've done five shoots in a little over a month. I have one tomorrow as well that I'm excited for. It's going to be in the style of American Apparel ads.

What a wonderful Saturday! :D

I've finally found a spare minute to update! Last Saturday my best friend and I were fortunate enough to attend a pop up sale at Sound Check in West Hollywood. One of the three popup stores that was there was Nikki Lipstick! My best friend and I dressed in our "Zombie" and "Horror" best friend set of t-shirts and went! It was amazing meeting and talking with Nikki an Gitsie. It is so rare to meet such nice and genuine people, Nikki and Gitsie were absolutely amazingly nice. I also got my grubby hands on a shirt from the upcoming collection for Nikki Lipstick too! 

I also had two photo-shoots last weekend with my talented best friend which I will post pictures of later ^-^.

Quick Update!

A lot of fun things have happened that I have been too busy to blog about! Finals and are wearing me down and I almost have no time for myself. It will be worth it at the end of next week though! Next Friday I get to see faderhead at Das Bunker and next Saturday I FINALLY get to see MSI at Club Nokia.

I've also been doing more photoshoots that I can't wait to post pictures from!

Gothic Goodies Part 6

I keep getting behind on writing Goth Goodies! Today I'm going to write about another favorite band of mine. It won't be as long as the last Gothic Goodies, but! You should check this band out all the same.

I decided to write about this band because I've been on a HUGE binge of them lately.

The Crüxshadows! This is one of the bands my boyfriend first gave me when we started dating years ago. At first I was like "ehh okay I like some of their songs", but one day I just felt like listening to them. I really sat down and listened to everything, the lyrics, the violin, the synths and holy crap I wish I had opened myself up more to this music before. Their lyrics are beautiful and while sad sometimes are almost always positive and leave you feeling good after listening to them. Their sound is dark wave synth-pop and I definitely think you should go give them a listen!

Here are some of my favorites for you to start out with Winter Born (This Sacrifice), Citadel, Perfect, Ariadne, Eye of the Storm, Eurydice (Don't Follow), Immortal.

Going Green!

This is what I wore yesterday and also, I dyed my hair GREEN! The blonde was nice for a little while, but then my roots started coming in -_-. The one thing I hate most is roots. I wish we were like those play dough hair people where i could just press something to have more or less hair.

Bon Fire and Photoshoot

This past weekend I went back to Orange County and went to a bon fire with my friends! I actually had fun too! I usually hate everything about the beach, but being with people I love made it awesome. The whole day was wonderful until night fall when it became really cold and I couldn't stop shivering. I also did a fun vintage inspired photoshoot with my photographer best friend! However, the pictures take forever because we were shooting with her film camera. So she has to go through the whole processes of developing them then scanning them. I admire her very much, because while digital cameras are great because you get instant results, it really takes a special person to go through the process of developing film the old school way.

New Hair

So my new blonde/pastel hair was a complete accident. I was planning on bleaching it before dyeing it green, but when I took the bleach off it turned out pretty awesome, so I'm keeping it for a while.

 First, I decided to try and get a lot of my color out with Color Oops. I was a bit apprehensive at first to see how it would work. I'll tell you it smells like shit, but it really works.

 I left it on for an hour and when I washed it off, it had gotten most of my recent layers of purple and fishbowl blue out.

A few days later I applied bleach and left it on for about an hour and when I washed it off I got this beautiful pastel color. BY ACCIDENT! I was expecting it to be a gross color, but it turned out nice. I'm going to keep this until a shoot I have planned next weekend. Then go green I guess.

Anne Rice

So I've had an awesome couple of weeks and to add to my awesome couple of weeks I had the pleasure of meeting Anne Rice this past Friday at the Barnes and Nobel at the Grove. It was a signing for her new book The Wolf Gift, of which I still have to read. Here are a few pictures of me when I went and me and one of two of my books she signed. She is the nicest women I have ever met. She also said she liked my hair ^-^

Fially a good mood!

For once, I'm in a really good mood. Maybe it's the wonderful Los Angeles weather or thinking that I did really well on the midterm I just took, or maybe it's because I get to see all my best friends in Orange County tonight. Whatever the reason I feel really happy.

Yep, today seems like a good day so far *waits for something bad to happen like always*

Gothic Goodies Part 5

I have not had time to writ  Gothic Goodies post in quite sometime. Today I thought I would start to write and suggest bands to my readers!

A good place I thought to start at was with my favorite band! Who is that you ask? Well it's Angelspit! I was turned on to them quite some time ago and I have been in love every since. Their genre is a mix of goth, cyperpunk and industrial. Their music has hard hitting lyrics and beats that will suck you into a vortex of utter ROCK!

I've seen them three times live and every time has been a wonderful experience. They are explosive live, especially since they have recently added a live guitarist and drummer. Angelspit is comprised of the nicest and most supportive people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Their style of dress and the amazing designs that the singer Amelia Arsenic does for their albums is completely perfect. Amelia also has her own line of haut macabre clothing and jewelry, that I highly suggest everyone takes a look at and becomes a fan.

I have to say though my favorite part of this bad are their cutting lyrics. As soon as I am able to I'm getting their lyrics "I am beyond god, I am human, I am the razor blade on the Communion tray, I am a freak of control not a control freak, I am the sheep that got away, I am burning, but never consumed, determined with nothing to lose." on my rib cage. Their lyrics personify perfectly all of the rage and emotions I feel towards life in general and have helped me get through rough times and have pumped me up through awesome times.

I HIGHLY SO HIGHLY recommend you research them and become a lover of their music and style yourself.

Jeans and T-shirts

So I've never been a jeans and a t-shirt kind of girl, but I'm slowly becoming one. I didn't notice this until last night when my roommate said to me "dude, you've been dressing really down lately, is this the slow fall of Lindsee?" I feel bad for not dressing up everyday like I used to, but this quarter is taking it's toll on me. I just don't have the energy or fucks to give when it comes to dressing up for school. I still dress nice when I go out, but now that it has been brought to my attention I feel the need to dress up again.

On the other hand more people have been coming up to me at school and talking to me. I think it is because I haven't been dressing in my usual intimidating manner. Well, fuck them because it really shouldn't matter how I look on the outside.

On another note, when I get paid next week I'm going to buy bleach and color stripper for my hair so that I may go hot pink next. I'm super excited. ^-^

Midterms AGAIN?!

As you can tell from the dark circles under my eyes it is midterm time again! I've been studying all weekend and will continue to do so until the end of next week. I have my coffee though to help keep me going. I've recently made a new friend who is in two of my classes at school as well and am quite happy since I really don't know anyone at UCLA except for about four people. 

PIZZA!

This past Friday I was FINALLY able to spend the night with one of my best friends again in Hollywood. We had an awesome time and were able to see two of our friends perform at the Pig and Whistle on Hollywood Blvd. I wish I could spend more time with her, I've just been super busy with midterms ;__;
